Age resistance of FineArt Inkjet papers

In terms of age resistance, it has to be distinguished between two criteria: the paper, and the print. All Hahnemühle papers are produced in compliance with DIN 6738, ISO 9706, ISO 16245 and meet, inter alia, the following quality criteria:

  • Acid-free with a pH-value between 7,5 and 9,5 due to neutral and vegan sizing
  • Buffered against air pollutants with a calcium carbonate content of at least 4%
  • Lignin-free (free of wood fibres)
  • Use of pure á-cellulose and cotton fibres

They are, therefore, extremely age resistance and offer the highest life expectancy of several hundred years.

All Hahnemühle FineArt Inkjet papers provide the best conditions to create long-lasting FineArt Inkjet prints. The permanence of the print, i.e. the colour adherence, is ink dependent. With the use of high-quality, UV resistant pigment inks (like Canon, Epson and HP) and considering the ambient and environmental conditions, FineArt Inkjet prints can last for more than 100 years.
